Community Based Nursing Roles

Health Visitor for community based assignments

Health Professionals are currently recruiting for a Health Visitor to work in conjunction with local Primary Care Trusts. You will be responsible for meeting and improving the health needs and wellbeing of the community working with families in areas of social, cultural and economic diversity.

Requirements:

• NMC Registered

• RGN with a Health Visiting Certificate or Diploma or BSc Specialist Practitioner

Typical duties will include:

• Assessing clients
• Planning & implementing care packages
• Maintaining associated records
• Working with families with specific health and social needs
• Running child health clinics
• Providing advice and health education
• You will be community focused and committed to continuing service
• You will be working to reduce health inequalities, take on key public health priorities and safeguard children as well as manage risk within child protection.
You should have experience of health needs assessment and the delivery of child health promotion programmes and care packages to vulnerable families.

School Nurse required

Health Professionals require an experienced Registered Nurse to fulfill the role as a school nurse. You will be required to provide a variety of services such as:
• Health and sex education within schools
• Carrying out developmental screening
• Undertaking health interviews
• Administering immunisation programmes
• Previous experience as a school nurse would be advantageous including; experience of working with children, having input in the development of health promotion clinics and working in the community. You should have excellent communication skills and be non-judgmental.
